Auralex foam deal - is it worth it?

Not good as bass traps. Foam absorbs mostly above 500 Hz.

All foam? Is there anything special about auralex? I would still possibly. Use these on my ceiling instead of heavy panels

so I could double up my rockwool and make bass traps, taking them off the ceiling, and put these foam panels on the ceiling - hung a bit lower. Does that sound good? for like 6.50 a panel....

just again saying that i have proper panels, too. I am just wondering about putting these on the ceiling or yeah maybe in the practice room. :) for 50 bucks I mean

Easiest stuff to build. The hardest part may be picking the fabric(breathable!) and the right colour for your room.
