Help with bonnet catch needed

MessageAuthor

I just got a standard grille to replace the bling one that was on the car when I bought it. It went on fine, with all the clips and slides fitting perfectly, and the bonnet catch fitting thru the guide in the grille, job done, I shut the bonnet..... ....and tried to open it, and the bonnet catch came out....HELP!!! How do I open the bonnet if the pull bit of the catch has fallen out.... Thanks for your help in advance. J

the bit with whole that is attached to the catch is there, but the metal pull bit has come off....so left with a small pull ring visible thru the side of the open bonnet

would it be possible to make a long but small hook out of a metal coat hanger guide it through the grill whilst looking through the side of the bonnet, hook onto the ring and try to pull it to release the bonnet.
